Michelin has developed a ‘new’ kind of wheel, called a Tweel. Looks a little bit strange, but seems to have potential for the next-generation wheels.

You can see a short promotional movie from Michelin where a tweel has been used over here.

“The Virtual Windows above consist of eight 15″ LCD panels connected via custom-built cables to two nVidia Quadro NVS 400 PCI video cards, each with four DVI outputs. The LCD backlight inverters are driven by their own power supply (sitting on top of the PC) and the panels get their 3.3v power from the PC’s ATX power supply. The total desktop resolution is 3072×2048.”

Honda worldwide has improved their ASIMO robot again, now it can run at an incredible speed of 3 km/hour.
You can see a movie of it here.

Sony is also progressing with their robot called QRIO.
TU Delft is also working on a robot, but their robot works a little bit different, as you can see here.
Ofcourse there are a lot more robots being developed by companies and Plyojump gives a good overview.
And if you all like this stuff, you can build a very cool robot yourself. Look here for a do-it-yourself bot called Kondo.
