Climbing Russian and Sesamestreet

Posted by Tjeerd on April 27, 2006

Not so long ago, there was a movie on the Internet about some French guy who jumped and climbed on all kind of buildings and obstacles. Yesterday I found another movie about a Russian dude doing almost the same moves. If you watch this guy doing those moves, the first thing I think is: I also want to be able to do that!

Guess you really have to train a lot and it’s pretty dangerous too.

I also found (thanks to Don) a nice page with an overview of all Sesamestreet characters, which you can find here. Have you ever seen the nephew of Bert? And what about the brother of Bert, Bart? Very cool site. This site will become one of my favorites I think.

ASCII art

Posted by Tjeerd on January 23, 2006
Everyone who is a little bit nerdy should immediately know what people mean when they start talking about ASCII art. It means that you may only use your keyboard characters to build up an image. There do exist converters so that you can just simply point to a graphics file and it will then create an ASCII file from it. Just one of the many sites with examples can be found here. What about Bill Clinton or Sesame Street? There is also a color version of this type of art, called ANSI-art. Actually the same, but then you are allowed to use colors.

Extreme laughing

Posted by Tjeerd on October 27, 2005

Almost all of my adventures happen in the metro. Yesterday evening a big negroid entered the metro and the way he was clothed was as if he just stepped out of bed. Furthermore he looked like a mix between a somalian and jamaican person. Anyway, this guy laughed incredibly loud in the metro, and it also sounded like a reasonably honest laugh, not to fake. After a while me and a friend of mine started laughing because of the way this other guy laughed. Just like other stories you had to be there to experience what we’ve been going through ;)

To end this littly story, take a look at this foiled house.

Parkfun and waterflood

Posted by Tjeerd on August 19, 2005

While sitting in the park yesterday with some friends and enjoying the sun and doing some football suddenly we noticed some action. Further away in the park a couple was doing “it” in a grassfield. We could all see what they were doing and how they were doing it, those people really get a kick of it or don’t bother the people walking around. It really became fun when a dog was walking around in the park and suddenly stopped at about 25 meters from the couple away. The dog was watching what they were doing and then decided he had to sprint to the couple. The couple immediately stopped their activities.

And today I came at my work and the whole department had a waterflood yesterday evening – because of a broken coolwater pipe – they told me there was about 2 cm. water on the whole department and it also streamed down to lower levels in the building. There have been made pictures and movies of it, so perhaps I’ll post them soon ;) . Anyway, didn’t have to work today.
